Compass around map
Move your map in all directions, one step at a time.
To move the map view, users click any of the navigation arrows along the edges and in the corners of the map. The map page typically reloads and shows a slightly different part of the map. With each click, the map view is shifted a constant distance in the direction indicated by the arrow the user clicked on.
Some interfaces only provide navigation arrows in the four cardinal directions, other interfaces also enable users to move the map view diagonally. Although the compass widget is commonly made up of arrows, the hyperlinks can also be textual, e.g. “Up”, “North”, or even simply “N”. Often the graphic arrows and some small textual desciption compliment each other.
